EcoTools 'Powder Brush'.

All the make-up brushes I have at the moment are losing their bristles and just need to be chucked and replaced! So it was lucky when I popped into Boots on my lunch-break (a very dangerous situation for my bank account) and saw the EcoTools range. I had never seen it before, so naturally I was quite intrigued!
I had read a couple of blog reviews of the brushes who seemed to be regard the product in a positive light, so I bought the 'Powder Brush'!

If you haven't heard, EcoTools is a brand that aim to make products that are eco-friendly and are made from eco-friendly products. They also donate some of their profits to charity, which is very saintly! You can visit their website for more of a spiel! Isn't it nice when you buy something that isn't just good for you, but good for the planet?!

The quality of this brush is something that really surprised me, it really is fantastic quality for a cheaper drugstore brand makeup brush. It looks as though it's made extremely well.
The bristles (which are synthetic) are so soft and gentle upon the skin, causing no irritation. None of the bristles have shed in the few weeks I've had the brush, even when washed very rigourously, which is pretty good going!
I use this brush for face powder, and occasionally blusher and bronzer. In terms of using it for face powder, I don't feel it reaches the 'hard to reach' areas of my face, mostly my eye area, very well, however, I hold the bristles of the brush closer together which makes it a lot more precise. Problem solved!
This brush picks up quite a small amount of product, which allows me to build upon it if needed. It distributes it evenly onto my face, and doesn't give a 'caked on' effect, resulting in quite a natural finish. I know this isn't perfect for everybody, but it's perfect for what I want out of my makeup.

I also love that the packaging is actually a wee plastic pouch you can use to store the brush in for when you're not using it. I don't have storage pouches for my other brushes, and it really grosses me out because they get dirty and grubby really quickly, so I really like this idea! Nice one EcoTools!

The brush cost me £9.99, which I think is a great price. I don't think I'd pay any more for a make-up tool after finding this brand, they are fantastic quality and in my opinion, they look so much more expensive than what you actually pay for them.
Also, I got that warm feeling inside after buying a product which is made really quite ethically, and I can't beat that!

  1. I love Ecotools! I have a hard time making myself shell out for nice brushes, too, because they're so good and cheap. Their retractable kabuki brush is awesome!

    1. I know, why spend all your money on expensive makeup brushes when you can get just as good brushes for cheaps?!
